Butterfly K-Cup Craft

Materials –

clean used k-cups
cupcake liners (I used some old Valentine ones I had in my baking cupboard)
black Sharpie

Directions –

#1. Spray your k-cups pink in a well ventilated area. I take mine out to our garage and I also like to paint multiples at a time. That way I have them on hand and ready to go when the kids want to craft. Let dry an hour and then check the color. Re-spray if needed and let dry again.
#2. After the k-cups are dry, give it 2 googly eyes. I really like the self-stick eyes but a glue stick will definitely do the trick!
#3. Draw a mouth using the black Sharpie.
#4. Next, take 2 cupcake liners and fold them into quarters. Glue them each on the back of the k-cup giving the butterfly some wings.
#5. Lastly, cut (2) 1″-2″ sections of the white pipe cleaners for the antenna’s. Gently poke into the top hole (bottom) of the k-cup and gently bend over.

Simply adorable and easy to make. This is a fantastic idea for a rainy day craft with your kids as it is simple and re-purposes items. What about a great teacher appreciation gift with a gift card and a cute poem? What ideas do you have for these Butterfly K-Cups?

How adorable! We have so many empty Kcups hanging around here this would be such a great and fun way to recycle them.
