Yard sales are a great way to earn extra money on the side, and as an added bonus, you’ll be able to clear up some of that dreadful clutter at home! Regular yard sales are a great way to keep clutter to a minimum and also one of the easiest ideas for extra money there are. You can schedule around your own timing and decide exactly how much you want to make on what you’re getting rid of. 

2. DoorDash.

Becoming a food delivery driver is a quick and easy way to make extra money. This, of course, depends on the reliability of your car but is typically very simple to sign up for. More than likely you can be on the road and earning pretty quickly! DoorDash also has extra incentives like their own debit card which you can cash out immediately on with cashback options at participating vendors. In addition to DoorDash, there are also Uber Eats and Grubhub as options! 

3. Uber!

If you’re not into food or grocery delivery, perhaps Uber would be more suitable. It is similar to being a taxi driver with the benefit of making your own schedule and working as many hours as you want or don’t want! It’s also important to keep in mind the extra wear and tear on your car, so balance that out and create a budget to see if your car is reliable enough that this is worth it.

4. Expand your photography skills.

If you love and enjoy photography, this can be a really lucrative side hustle. You can create your own business or simply just have scheduled shoots during the year when you want to have them. In terms of side hustles for money, this one offers quite a bit of freedom and flexibility! 

5. Car washing/detailing. 

If you have the supplies on hand already and enjoy giving cars a deep clean, this is a great side hustle to make extra money! You can start out by practicing on your own cars and those of friends and family. Expanding from there, you can turn it into a weekend hobby for extra money or even an entire side business if you so choose!

Whether you’re interested in blogging, vlogging, or just social media content creation, this too can be one of the more fun side hustle ideas for extra money! This can take a bit longer to get off the ground than other options – so definitely look at this as a long term investment where you’ll have to put the work in to see the reward. However, if you’re a talented content creator, the opportunities are truly endless! 

7. Become a tutor.

Tutoring can be a great little side hustle that requires minimal effort! If you’re able to comprehend a subject (and teach it) well, this is a great option. Look into local schools and listings online to find people who are looking for tutors! 

8. Pet Sitting.

Pet sitting has really taken off in recent years and can blossom into a full side business as well depending on how much you’re looking to make and how much availability you have! If you’re an animal lover, this can be a very rewarding side hustle! If you’re not looking to do full petsitting, dog walking is another great alternative for animal lovers.

9. Crafting! 

If you’re a big crafter, chances are you could make some extra money from it! There are so many different options, but for example, if you have a Cricut, this is a great way to create things that could generate extra income for you! The freedom to choose your own prices for what you sell is also a great bonus.

10. Proofreading.

Do you have an eye for errors in writing and publications? If so, proofreading may be your side hustle calling! You can find clients through social media or places like Upwork to contract through. Like many others, this is a great option because you have the ability to set your own prices.
