5 Ways to Live a Simpler & More Full Life

Living a simple life means less work to have to get done. Having less work to get done means less to worry about. Having less to worry about leads to less stress. Having less stress leads to happiness. Happiness means that your life is full! This sounds enticing, doesn’t it? If you are looking for a more fulfilling life, free of worrying about the piddly things read on to learn how to simplify your life, in order to accomplish this.

#1. Ditch Your Social Media Accounts

Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat are all things you can do without. Your heart probably just skipped a beat after reading that, but you are after a simple life, right? Deleting your social media accounts will free up all the time you spend checking to see who is up to what, and will allow you to spend the time doing something that you find fulfilling.

#2. Start Saying, “No!”

Having a simple life involves having free time to do as you please with it. While it is great to help others from time to time, you must stop making a habit of telling people, “Yes!” Doing so takes away from time that you have worked toward in order to lead your simple life. So instead of blurting out, “Yes!” Right away, consider whether or not you have the time to make the commitment.

#3. Avoid Filling Your Schedule With Too Many Extracurriculars

Basketball, cross country, martial arts, and ballet are all great ways for your children to spend their free time, however there is such a thing as being too involved. It can be incredibly stressful have to race from one activity to the next, so have your child pick their favorite, so that you can free up some stress, but your child will still get to do something that they are passionate about.

#4. Avoid The Clearance Racks

It may be tempting after the holidays to skim the clearance racks in search of decorations for next year, however, you need to avoid them. The goal is to declutter, not take on more items. Plus, the money that you will save can go towards a fun vacation or new book that you have been looking forward to.

#5. Stop Going All Out For Birthday Parties

Birthdays are not about themed parties with loads of decorations, and gifts. Birthdays are about celebrating life! Instead of planning a huge guest list with an artsy spread of food, keep it light with a small gathering of loved ones, and maybe a simple cake with ice cream.

This is such a great read!! Life gets overwhelming at times & at most we usually put it on the back burner & keep going for our families! We all definitely need to take a step back & incorprate things even if it is for 5 mins to connect with our selves & take a breather!
