American Housewife Behind The Scenes + Episode Preview #ABCTVEvent #AmericanHousewife

I was invited by Disney to attend the #QueenOfKatwe and #ABCTVEvent Event. Although all of my expenses were paid, all opinions are my own.

A few weeks ago, I was in Los Angeles for the #QueenOfKatweEvent. While there, we had the exclusive and awesome opportunity to go on set of some hit ABC shows. One of the shows we were able to tour and chat with the cast of was ABC’s American Housewife. We experienced this a little differently than some of the other shows, as we actually went on scene where they were shooting. It was such a neat experience to see all of the workings behind the scene, meet the cast and chat with some of those who work on set. American Housewife has quickly become a favorite show of mine.

Behind the Scenes

Katy Mixon was such a pleasure – she was sure to get to know each of us and our blog before taking a picture. I loved her open arms and willingness to chat. When we went behind the scenes for filming, she was waving at us while getting her makeup and hair touched up. 😀

We then had a few moments to chat with Leslie Bibb. She, just like Katy, was inviting and interested to know about us. I loved her inviting personality and consider it an absolute pleasure to meet her.

We got to chat with Ali Wong and Carly Hughes too! They were so fun, as you can see in the picture. I enjoyed the short conversations that I got to have with each of them. It makes it even more fun to see the episodes now :-D.

“The Nap” Episode 102 Preview

Episode 102, ” The Nap” premieres tonight at 830/730c.

All Katie wants is a good, long nap after the kids keep her up all night. But when Greg gets the flu, she doesn’t get a minute to herself. Her exhaustion reaches critical mass with a confrontation with the school’s officious crossing guard (guest star Kate Flannery, “The Office”).

Fresh Off the Boat 9/8c “Breaking Chains”: Eddie shows Emery the ropes on his first day of middle school, revealing that he convinced the teachers and staff into believing fake Chinese customs that provide special privileges at school. Meanwhile, Jessica is thoroughly offended when Louis hires a housekeeper to help lighten her load at home.   

The Real O’Neals 930/830c “The Real Dates”: We step into the O’Neals’ messy dating lives as Eileen and VP Murray’s secret dating life is about to be unraveled, Kenny jumps into the world of gay dating apps but feels discouraged after not getting enough swipes to the right, and Jimmy goes too far to declare his love for Lacey. Meanwhile, Aunt Jodi meddles with Shannon’s love life after mistakenly thinking she needed her help.

What a great Tuesday night lineup – you can enjoy some comedies for a few hours on ABC. Who doesn’t need some time to laugh on a Tuesday night.
