Baby Must Have: Nested Bean Zen One

Nested Bean has products that are definitely a baby must have! As the Mom of a newborn, I’ve searched high and low for the best products for my little girl.

My son was not a good sleeper and I attribute most of that to the fact that as a new Mom I had no idea what I was doing. In the hospital they swaddled him, but then when we got home I thought he hated it. There were so many things that I didn’t know about being a Mom!

When I had Sofie, I knew that I’d want to learn more about infant sleep and development and work with her to establish good sleep habits. She’s still young, so no sleep training here, but establishing good sleep habits is important.

Are Sleepless Nights a Rite of Passage?

I searched high and low for the best products and tips to establish those good habits, and watched a ton of videos to understand sleepy cues, hunger cues and more. While I am not perfect, in any way, Sofie has developed way better sleep patterns that Liam ever did.

Being a parent is hard, especially with the sleepless nights that come during the early stages of your child’s life. Sure, it’s normal and almost a rite of passage into parenthood; but, what if I told you that you could sleep better and in your own bed? That’s right, no more falling asleep in the rocking chair or next to the crib, just restful nights for both you and your baby.

Nested Bean: Sleep Solution

Nested Bean has been a savior for us in our sleep journey with Sofie. We have the Zen One Swaddle and LOVE that it is a convertible swaddle that we can use for months before needing to transition her.

For the first few weeks of her life, I thought she hated the swaddle. Turns out, she didn’t and actually slept WAY better with the swaddle on and when she was not overtired.

Most of the time, I was unintentionally missing her sleepy cues and then by the time I tried to lay her down for a nap, she was overtired.

As you can see above, Sofie LOVES her Nested Bean Zen One Swaddle and so do I. This is a convertible swaddle and I love that it is super soft too!

She had been swaddled her before with arms in but we knew it was time to transition with arms out based on her age and her attempting to roll over.

The Zen One Swaddle has a nice velcro band that goes around her torso and then the light weight on top for her. This Zen One can convert from arms in, to arms up to arms out.

Another feature I absolutely LOVE is the two way zipper. It makes diaper changes a breeze and I highly recommend getting products that have that two way zipper!!

How was Nested Bean Developed?

Nested Bean was founded by a Mom who was in desperate need of sleep. Does that sound familiar?

Nested Bean was developed after a simple act of putting her hand on her baby’s chest with a stuffed animal resulted in her baby sleeping under the gentle pressure.

Nested Bean - We Help Babies Sleep And Families Thrive.

We’ve all been there – trying to slip our hand off our baby as we slink out of the room or trying those glove DIY weights on Pinterest. Well, this got the mom thinking, and after tons of research and consulting with doctors and pediatric pulmonologists, the world’s first gently weighted Swaddle and Nested Bean were born!

Before Nested Bean, Sofie would fall asleep in my arms and as soon as I would transfer her to the crib or bassinet she would wake up screaming. Once we changed over to the gentle weight of Nested Bean, transfers are much easier.

How Does it Work?

  1. A parent’s touch is scientifically proven to soothe and help babies sleep; therefore, your touch triggers the Cuddle Effect™.
  2. Nested Bean’s Zen Sleepwear mimics your embrace with lightly weighted pads that extend the gentle pressure of your touch during sleep.
  3. Babies fall asleep faster, rest more peacefully, and get longer healthier sleep within 1-3 nights.

What is the Cuddle Effect™?

Medical experts agree that it’s not just the swaddling, the rocking, and the lullabies that soothe your baby to sleep; it’s your touch, and it’s vital to your baby’s well-being. Recent scientific research on Deep Touch Pressure (DTP) shows that babies experience the Cuddle Effect of them being near you when they feel gentle pressure in the places you naturally hold them.

Is it Safe?

Designed in partnership with pediatric pulmonologists and rigorously tested, the weight of Nested Bean’s pressure pads are perfectly calibrated and safe for babies at least 7lbs. While effective, the weight is as light as your palm on your baby’s chest.

Each of their products also exceeded industry safety standards by 8 times, provide ultimate breathability, and are toxin-free. This makes them recommended by certified sleep consultants and trusted by leading pediatric hospitals and NICUs across the country.
