I love to bake and experimenting with new recipes!! When I was a kid, my Mom always baked goodies and she still does to this day. You could say that my love for baking comes from her. Now that we are expecting our first child, I want to instill that love for baking and creativity in their lives just like my Mom did. My older sister has 5 kids and I love to bake with them- we’ve made cookies, brownies, and dyed Easter eggs numerous times and we always have a blast. There aren’t many activities out there for you to be creative with your children, in order to find those activities you have to be creative yourself. There are a ton of other things that your kids could do- such as play video games, watch tv, etc. but it is important to ensure their creative juices continue to flow. 

I was given the opportunity to try out and review two fun and edible craft projects: The Blooming Cupcakes Baking Kit and the Paint-An-Egg kit. I was excited to try both of them as I knew they would not only be fun but delicious. I am a sucker for sweets! 

The Blooming Cupcakes Baking Kit contains six oven-safe reusable silicone baking ‘flowerpots’ that make the perfect cupcakes.  The kit also contains a chocolate cake mix, vanilla frosting mix, sprinkles shaped like daisies, green sprinkles and a pink icing pen to make your cupcakes look like blooming flowers!  The instructions are simple and the final product speaks for itself.  Since the flowerpots are reusable you can continue the baking fun for the whole family for many years to come with your little ones (make sure to read the baking instructions on the box!).  Brand Castle also recommends making other fun treats in these baking cups such as rice crispy treats and brownies.  

The Paint-An-Egg Kit contains the Crispy Rice, marshmallows, egg shaped cookie cutter, icing, food coloring, and 2 paint brushes. All you need to purchase is butter and powder sugar. Each kit makes  8 egg-shaped treats. A family activity of Easter egg-cellence! I love doing arts and crafts with my girls even better when the end product is a yummy treat! I am looking forward to doing many many more kits with my girls!! I just know you and your family would enjoy making these as well!
