I was invited by Disney to attend this event. All of my expenses were paid, but I promise all opinions are my own.
The other night I received an email containing some Captain America pixie dust. This email certainly stopped me in my tracks and I even interrupted my husband’s video game to tell him I received the invite. This email was from Disney inviting me to come to Los Angeles for the Captain America Event from April 9-12, 2016! I am excited to share a sneak peek of what we will be doing while in Los Angeles and convince you to be #TeamIronMan!
Just last year I attended 2 pretty awesome trips with Disney – #TomorrowlandEvent and #GoodDinosaurEvent. Both afforded me opportunities that I never would have been able to experience. For Tomorrowland, I had the opportunity to interview the cast including George Clooney (part 2), Britt Robertson and Raffey Cassidy as well as the Directors Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof. We also visited Disneyland and Tomorrowland as well as the Disney Archives. For The Good Dinosaur we went to the Red Carpet Premiere, interviewed the voices of Buck, Arlo and Spot as well as the director and producer Peter Sohn and Denise Ream. Also on the list of interviews was the director and producer of the short, “Sanjay’s Super Team.” If you haven’t seen either of these movies, you’ll want to!!
Each trip has something fun and exclusive to go along with it that we do not find out about until the last minute. With The Good Dinosaur event we visited the set of Black-ish and Grandfathered and even got to meet some of the cast! How fun!
I cannot wait to see what other fun things we have in store for this event – check out the preview below and follow along.
While the final agenda is not complete and there are many details still to com, I’m excited to share what I know about the event with you. This trip will include the film release of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War as well as the Disney Channel Original Movie Adventures in Babysitting and the new ABC shows The Family and The Catch. Check out the preview details that I know below:
CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR FILM RELEASE
Follow along on Social Media using : #CaptainAmericaEvent & #TeamIronMan (the best team there is)
Whose side are you on? I’m #TeamIronMan all the way – Team Stark! This is going to be a blast – check out the movie trailer below.
This trip will allow me to screen Marvel’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR which opens in theaters on May 6! I’ll also attend the press junket where I will interview talent from the film – not yet announced! Stay tuned, I cannot wait to see who we will be interviewing.
Adventures in Babysitting
Follow along on Social Media using: #AdventuresInBabysitting
While in town I will also get a sneak peek at the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie “Adventures in Babysitting” inspired by the hugely popular 1980s film of the same name. I loved this movie and cannot wait to see this new one! In fact, I’m planning to re-watch the 1980’s film before the event – it’s been awhile ;).
Starring are Sabrina Carpenter (of Disney Channel’s hit comedy series “Girl Meets World”) and Sofia Carson (of the hit Disney Channel Original Movie “Descendants”). In “Adventures in Babysitting,” a dull evening for two competing babysitters, Jenny (Sabrina Carpenter) and Lola (Sofia Carson), turns into an adventure in the big city as they hunt for one of the kids who somehow snuck away. Interview opportunities will be provided with some talent from the film – not yet announced. Who do you think we will interview? What questions do you have for the cast?
The Family
Follow along on Social Media using: #TheFamily and #ABCTVEvent
The fun doesn’t stop there as I will also join Jenna Bans, the creator & executive producer of ABC’s new drama, “The Family” (Sundays at 9/8c), as well as available cast, for a family-style dinner, some live tweeting of episode 7, as well as a special sneak preview of episode 8 along with a Q&A with the cast members.
I’ve been watching this show – have you? It is so interesting and out of the ordinary for me to watch it! However, I am hooked. I cannot wait to hear from Jenna and see more about this show. What questions do you have for Jenna and the cast members?
The Catch
Follow along on Social Media using: #TheCatch #ABCTVEvent and #TGIT
I’ll also have the opportunity to go behind the scenes of the newest addition to Thursday’s lineup on ABC. In “The Catch” (from the producers of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away with Murder”), Alice Vaughan is LA’s top private investigator, but when her fiancé Benjamin Jones cons her out of millions and disappears, she goes on a private mission for payback stopping at nothing to catch her man. “The Catch” debuts Thursday, March 24th at 10/9c. I cannot wait to start watching this show and visit the set. From the previews you’ve seen, what questions do you have?
I’ll be watching this show when it starts on March 24th. Be sure you do too! Once you see the first episode you’ll have to let me know if you are #TeamMouse or #TeamCat.
More details to come! Stay tuned to This N That with Olivia and on Social Media (Twitter // Facebook // Instagram) for more details as they’re released. Be sure to comment below or reach out on one of the social media channels with any questions you have for the cast and directors. I’ll be posting updates as soon as they’re released but in the meantime, I’m gearing up for the event and watching as much of the shows above that I can, watch with me.
