We are expecting our first little boy in October, 2014 so the search for great baby products is in full swing– those with great reviews are always at the forefront of our minds. Therefore, I plan to provide you with a review of some specific products from amazing baby brands.

Our next feature is from Chewbeads– 100% silicone jewelry for Moms that is safe for baby to chew and tug on. Most babies like to put things in their mouths– you know they get to that stage where everything (sometimes things that are not good) go in their mouth. Additionally, I can only imagine how crazy it will be when Liam starts to teethe. As an aunt to 6 nieces and nephews, I’ve seen how miserable babies can be through that stage. Yes, there are topical products to help relieve their pain and there are teethers that go in the fridge that they can chew on. However, there are not many things that are 100% safe and stylish for baby to use. Chewbeads offers cute and safe jewelry for Mom to wear and for baby to chew/enjoy!

“A Chewbeads, it’s a family affair.

The idea began in 2009 after our son Benjamin was born. Like most babies, he LOVED to put everything in his mouth and my necklaces were a favorite. Like most Moms I didn’t feel comfortable letting him chew on them, with the concern they might break or have unwanted chemicals. As a veteran of the fashion industry I had an amazing collection of necklaces and bracelets and with those as my inspiration, I set out to create soft, non-toxic jewelry that was colorful, chic and above all else safe. Hence, Chewbeads.

As our family has grown, we’ve been inspired to create safe, non-toxic teethers and toys that babies and parents can enjoy and feel good about.”

This N That with Olivia was given the opportunity to review the Jane Necklace from Chewbeads!

chewbeads 1The Greenwich necklace that I received for review is pictured above, I LOVE the bright red colors at the bottom and the length of it! The first thing I noticed is the smooth, soft texture that the necklace had– making it comfortable for me to wear and also good for Liam to enjoy. I LOVE that the products are made from 100% silicone and contain NO BPA, Phthlatates, Lead, Cadmium or Metal! They’re also dishwasher safe– sweet deal! They provide a way for baby to enjoy as they’re soft and easy on emerging teeth. This necklace is stylish, too, meaning that even when Liam isn’t playing with it, I can wear it and not feel weird. also, the clasp at the back is easy to breakaway, it is like this so that baby can tug and pull and if they pull too hard the necklace will come undone…. 🙂

I think that this necklace will be a staple piece of jewelry that I’ll be wearing quite frequently. Liam is sure to follow suit of other babies and want to put everything in his mouth, especially when he is teething! They have so many styles of necklaces, and even have bracelets, teethers, dog tags and more.
