How adorable is this yarn craft? This is such a fun craft to do with your kiddos this Easter or even for Spring in general and takes just a few supplies that you may already have at home.
I love doing these types of activities with my son because they offer us time to spend together and something to gift to friends and family around the Holidays or give me keepsakes!! I also love to keep crafts like this in my back pocket for a rainy day!

This craft takes just a few supplies and will be a GREAT project for you and your kiddos. Yes, it uses hot glue, but only a little dab on the back and then at the end so just use caution when using this glue.
What Supplies Do you Need to Make this Chick Yarn Craft?
How to Make Chick Yarn Craft:
1. Cut your egg shapes out from your cardboard.
2. Carefully hot glue the end of your yarn to the back of the cardboard egg and begin wrapping it around the egg, up and down, side to side, until the egg is completely covered.
3. Cut a small diamond out from your orange card stock and glue to the center of your chick.
4. Then cut out two little feet from your orange card stock and glue to the bottom back of your chick.
5. Now glue 2 googly eyes above the beak and your chick is complete.
Can I use Regular Glue instead of a Hot Glue Gun?
I would recommend using the hot glue gun to attach the yarn to the back of the cardboard so that it sticks well before you wrap the yarn around. There are a few items that you could use regular glue for, but just note that you’ll have to give it time to dry, more than hot glue.
What Kind of Cardboard should I use?
I’d recommend using cardboard from a regular shipping box. You want it to be thick so that the chick doesn’t fold. I usually cut off the flap or lid piece of one and use that to make my cardboard eggs.
