Come with me to Disneyland & Experience Tomorrowland! #TomorrowlandEvent #Disneyland60

Thank You For Sharing!!

Disclosure: I was given an all-expense paid trip to the Los Angeles area by Disney in exchange for sharing my experience with all of you! ALL opinions shared are my own.Tomorrowland Poster

I cannot believe that it has been 2 weeks since I was on the trip in LA for the Tomorrowland Event with my fellow bloggers and Disney. We did so many awesome things while we were in town and one of the places that we visited was Disneyland. I have never visited Disney World and probably won’t until Liam is a little older (he’s 8 months old now) and I NEVER thought I would get the opportunity to visit Disneyland. Well, I was wrong about that- I was SO excited to see that Disneyland was on the agenda for us at the Tomorrowland Event and I’d love to share what we experienced as well as the Tomorrowland movie details. As you saw in the post HERE, we viewed a sneak peek that is exclusive to Disneyland for the movie Tomorrowland. Remember that this awesome, family friendly movie, Tomorrowland, opens in theaters TOMORROW and has the rating of PG. If you’re looking for something to do with the family this weekend, check out this fun movie (stay tuned for my review of the movie soon). Now, the preview for the movie was awesome -it was actually a clip from the movie which intrigues the viewers even more about the Tomorrowland movie. We also got to visit the Tomorrowland props room where we saw things like the jet pack, the 1952 box and more. I’m excited to share more of my experience in Tomorrowland and in Disneyland as a whole- I hope you enjoy.

It was my first time so I got this awesome FIRST visit pin at Disneyland!! How awesome is that?!

Disneyland 1st Visit Pin I was beyond excited to be there. I received an awesome “1st Visit” pin for it being my very first time to Disneyland and we went into the park. After we got in there we went right in the direction of Tomorrowland. As I am told, no visit to Disney would be complete without a ride on “It’s a Small World” – boy was it fun. I had never experience this before, because I had never been to the Disney parks. It was a very addicting song, so after we got off of that ride, we were all singing the tune on our way to Tomorrowland.

On our way to Tomorrowland we decided to get on “Buzz Lightyear AstroBlasters” as a group and that was so fun! I didn’t do too well as I didn’t get the hang of the game until later but it was still fun ;).

Astro Blasters

Shortly after that we decided to break off into our groups for the remainder of the day in the park(s). I was in the group that would be riding the rollercoasters. I was so excited but also nervous because of my spinal fusion, but ALL went well. We got on rides like Star Tours, Big Thunder Mountain, and Space Mountain.

Dole Whips

Then, we decided to get a Dole Whip- I’d never had one…. remember my first time to Disney!! I was SO excited that those of us who had our FIRST Dole Whip got a pin that says “My First Dole Whip Float” -yummy!!
Dole Whips 2

If you’ve never had one and like pineapple, you need one ;). We left Disneyland and headed over to California Adventure park to tackle some more rides as “Team Gaby” – the rollercoaster group. Before we went on the trip I had told the group that I am not one for free-falling rides when they asked about the Tower of Terror. Well, when we were in California Adventure Park, I overcame my fear and got on that ride! OMG, it was a blast!!

 Tower of Terror

We have some fun memories as Team Gaby on that ride for sure. After that we decided to head over to the biggest rollercoaster in the two parks called the California Screamin’. Now, this would be our last roller coaster of the journey but I was really excited to ride one that had loops and went upside down. It had been many years since I had been on a rollercoaster like that (due to my spinal fusion). 🙂

Before we left, we headed over to get dinner at an Italian restaurant and then over to watch the World of Color show, it was awesome!! The World of Color is part of their anniversary celebration and even though I was a little short and couldn’t see it all, it was awesome.

World of Color is an outdoor, 28-minute nighttime spectacular show. This show features projected film clips on an immense water screen in Paradise Bay at Disney California Adventure Park.

As unforgettable scenes from family-favorite Disney and Disney•Pixar animated and live-action movies stream across the screen, you’ll be inspired to reminisce about romances, look back at past friendships and relive remarkable adventures.

The World of Color show—the most impressive and fanciful nighttime extravaganza Disney has ever produced—is accompanied by momentous music, and also includes fantastic fire, fountain, fog and laser effects.

World of Color Is Big!
To create the approximately 19,000 square-foot projection screen, nearly 1,200 fountains shoot water 200 feet into the air. Watch as water dances and pyrotechnics explode!

Be wowed at how all the elements are woven into a kaleidoscope of imagination. Be awed as this sensational show sweeps and expands across the water at Paradise Bay.

And be carried away by the soaring soundtrack that spans decades of Disney movies—from classics to the most recent releases.

We did some last minute shopping and then headed back to the Sheraton for the night. We were all exhausted, that’s for sure but we had a fantastic time. The best part of the day for me was definitely visiting Tomorrowland!! It was so neat to see the sneak peek and the props as well as imagine the movie and the ideas behind it.

I cannot wait to take my family to Disneyland one day, it would be awesome. Thanks to Disney for this experience, I loved it.

Celebrate Disneyland’s Diamond Celebration!!

Woohoo, Disneyland is celebrating 60 years of Disney magic with THREE new nighttime spectaculars, dazzling décor and an exciting sweepstakes that will award authentic diamons and one-of-a-kind prizes to some lucky guests. The celebration all begins on Friday, May 22, 2015– the SAME day that Tomorrowland opens in theaters everywhere!

Nighttime will glitter as never before with three, sensational shows that expand the 60-year tradition of innovative and immersive storytelling: the brilliant, high-energy “Paint the Night” parade and “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular at Disneyland Park, and the all-new “World of Color – Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney” at Disney California Adventure Park. In “World of Color – Celebrate!,” Mickey Mouse and award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris will tell the story of Walt Disney and the Happiest Place on Earth with film, animation, music and spectacular fountains. The electrifying new shows will premiere during a 24-hour party that inaugurates the Diamond Celebration, from 6 a.m. Friday, May 22, until 6 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, local time.

“Paint the Night” parade – When the lights go down in Disneyland, the Diamond Celebration illuminates the park with a brilliant, new parade. The luminescent parade creates a river of color flowing down Main Street, U.S.A., with an array of Disney characters and more than 1.5 million brilliant LED lights that flash and glow as Mickey Mouse uses his vivid imagination to “Paint the Night.” With dazzling special effects, unforgettable music, energetic performances, fun surprises and spectacular floats, “Paint the Night” is more vibrant than any parade in 60 years at the Disneyland Resort. Even the choreography glows, as parade performers light up with their props and costumes. Tinker Bell leads the procession in a magical, musical overture, closely followed by a float reminiscent of the giant bass drum that led the “Main Street Electrical Parade.”Lightning McQueen races in with his buddy Mack Truck, who makes a hefty impression at 54-feet long, covered from headlights to tail pipe in gleaming light. Anna and Elsa from “Frozen” glide through the night in a shimmering palace of ice and snow. Guests also will be delighted to see Cinderella, Rapunzel and beloved characters from tales such as “Monsters, Inc.,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “Toy Story,” with Mickey and his pals creating a breathtaking grand finale.

“Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular – The dazzling new fireworks show,“Disneyland Forever,” is a street-to-sky, immersive experience like nothing seen before at the Disneyland Resort. Guests will be surrounded by the worlds of timeless Disney tales, from the tips of their toes to the sky high above, thanks to the largest installation of projection mapping technology in a Disney park and surprising special effects. One minute they will be standing on Main Street, U.S.A., and the next they could be stampeding across Simba’s Pride Lands, dancing with King Louie from “The Jungle Book,” traveling “Under the Sea” with the Little Mermaid, flying over London with Peter Pan, dripping in honey with Pooh in a whimsical dream of heffalumps and woozles, or quivering as Queen Elsa brings a glimmering blanket of snow over Disneyland.

For the first time in Disneyland fireworks history, Nemo from the Disney●Pixar animated film “Finding Nemo,” will “just keep swimming” in the skies above Sleeping Beauty Castle, as the Matterhorn is transformed into the fiery peak of Mt. Wannahockaloogie, a special monument from that film. Two original songs enrich the show: the “Disneyland Forever” theme “Live the Magic,” and the inspiring closing song “Kiss Goodnight,” written by another Disney Legend, Richard M. Sherman, and sung by Ashley Brown, star of the Broadway production of “Mary Poppins.” The “stage” for “Disneyland Forever” fireworks will extend from the sky above to Main Street, U.S.A., “it’s a small world,” the Matterhorn and mist screens along the Rivers of America, offering guests a new experience from

“World of Color – Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney” – Award-  winning actor Neil Patrick Harris will join Mickey Mouse on a magical water canvas to entertain guests in this fun-filled new presentation of the popular, nighttime “World of Color” spectacular in Disney California Adventure. Both epic and intimate in scope, “World of Color – Celebrate!” brings to life the remarkable story of Walt and The Happiest Place on Earth with animated imagery, live-action film, fountains, lasers, special effects and a stirring musical score. Guests will take an inspirational journey through the unparalleled imagination of Walt Disney, exploring his decades-long legacy of memorable animated moments around the world and the dream of Disneyland Park. “World of Color – Celebrate!” reminds guests that, if they never give up on their dreams, anything is possible.
