Spring is finally here, and I couldn’t be happier. In addition to the warmer days, I love the look and smell of freshly cut grass and the look of beautiful flowers planted in the yard! My husband and I just got back from a weekend away at the beach– I am SO glad that we were able to go visit the sandy beaches of Virginia Beach and celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary! 

Duncan Hines has some amazing (and delicious) Spring offerings for those baking/entertaining needs. As you can see in the picture above, Duncan Hines sent me the products in their Spring Limited Edition line to bake and share with my family/friends. Right after I got this box of goodies, my husband and I were going to find out the gender of our little one due in October. I was excited to choose either the Pink Velvet or Blue Velvet to bake for our reveal. Check out what we did:

What do you think? When I was baking the velvet cake, I was impressed– the batter was very colored but very thick! The NEW Duncan Hines Velvet Cake mixes are a part of Duncan Hines’ new velvets line; the first in the baking aisle to extend velvet cakes beyond the traditional red velvet. I am not a fan of red velvet cake but I thought this velvet was delicious– and fun to bake. The color was so strong, I had to use 2 tubs of icing and a ton of sprinkles to cover the blue! This new product is perfect for birthday parties and gender reveal parties by offering bakers a surprisingly easy way to add color to any celebration and create magic moments they can always remember. This blue velvet did just that– made it easy for us to create memories! 

In addition to the pink and blue velvets, I was given the opportunity to try out their Limited Edition Spring Velvets cake mix! This cake mix gives bakers the opportunity to brighten up any spring occasion. Duncan Hines sent me the following recipe that I cannot wait to try:

The last product that I’d like to feature is the Salted Caramel Brownies! Duncan Hines has jumped on the bandwagon with the Salted Caramel addiction– I know I certainly have one! I baked these for work and oh my are they delicious!! I am glad that I took them to share as I could’ve ate them all by myself. My husband doesn’t eat chocolate so whenever I bake them I have to share with my co-workers (they don’t mind)!

Overall, I LOVE the new Spring products offered by Duncan Hines and cannot wait to try more recipes including these Pink Velvet Whoopie Pies:
