This N That with Olivia was given the exclusive opportunity to partner with eKoffee for this review and giveaway opportunity. I was not a coffee fan until a few years ago when I started working early hours and staying up late trying to finish master’s classes and things like that. Since then I’ve definitely acquired a taste for coffee and prefer the lighter or medium roasts over the darker ones.
I was given the opportunity to choose 2 bags of coffee from the Copper Canyon line!! It was hard to choose but like I said above, I love the lighter or medium roasts. I chose 2 of those that seemed to be the perfect fit and ordered one in espresso grind and one in regular coffee grind. You see, a few months ago, I was asked to review a Mr. Coffee espresso machine and I couldn’t wait to use my Copper Canyon espresso grind in the machine to make some delicious lattes and espressos!
Copper Canyon Coffee Roasters is located in Springfield, Missouri. The goal of Copper Canyon Coffee is to provide our valued customers with some of the highest quality coffee around that is consistent every time.
We started in the coffee business in 2006 as a drive through coffee shop. However, our desire for a better product and more quality control quickly led us into buying our first coffee roaster. Since that day, we have gotten out of the coffee shop business to focus on supplying and selling coffee in both wholesale and retail markets.
We have a passion for the bean as well as giving back to the farmers who cultivate this precious crop, as majority of coffee farmers live in sub-standard living conditions. Children are forced to work in order to help put food on the table. To help combat this, we belong to several trade organizations that help educate the women and children of the farms and teach them the benefits of school. In 2013, we have several projects within developing coffee areas that we plan to participate in.
We are especially concerned about water and its quality. Clean water is needed to drink, grow, and brew your cup of coffee. Water is one of the most precious of resources on the Earth and we need to treat it as such.
We welcome you to try our coffee and enjoy!
I loved browsing the eKoffee website and seeing the many different varieties of coffees they had– it was a hard decision to choose just 2. I chose the Copper Canyon- Ethiopa Yirgacheffe and the Copper Canyon- Papua New Guinea!
I chose this coffee in the coffee grind for every day enjoyment. This coffee is noted as Fairtrade and organic certified and is believed to be a Jamaican Blue Mountain variety planted in the eastern island of Papua New Guinea around 1927. I loved that it has bright citrus wine-like fruit notes, impressive a gentle taste of cocoa nibs with a mild acidity. The coffee offers a medium body, smooth creamy mouthfeel and is a great coffee to go with a decadent dessert after dinner. Yum– doesn’t that sound amazing! Let me tell you, this coffee is delicious for sure- I brewed my first cup in my Keurig and then added in some sugar and creamer and enjoyed it.
I chose this one in the espresso grind as it sounded delicious to use to make lattes and espressos in my espresso machine. This one is a light medium roast and offers wonderful aromas of sweet flowers. I loved the online description of the coffee which states that it has mild mild red grapefruit acidity with a sweet caramel, butterscotch finish. When I made a cinnamon sugar latte in my espresso machine, the aroma of this coffee was amazing…. I couldn’t wait for it to finish brewing so I could enjoy it. The roast flavor was delicious as well and I did not think that it was too strong– delicious!! I think I’ll make a pumpkin spice latte next, yum!!
Having both of these delicious coffees on hand will definitely help me save some money at the local coffee shops! Now I can make any latte or coffee I want with some awesome coffee grinds that I do enjoy. The light-medium roasts from Copper Canyon are definitely a favorite of mine. Now I cannot wait to try more from eKoffee and other roasters they have.
About eKoffee
eKoffee.com gives customers the ability to buy fresh-roasted coffee directly from select micro-roasters around the country all on one, easy-to-shop website. We’re committed to providing value and quality to our customers. That means making it easy to shop for the best coffee at the best price without having to change out of your pajamas.
Roasted to Order
Good coffee starts with fresh-roasted coffee beans, but finding them is a hassle. Store-bought coffee is rarely fresh because it sits on shelves for days or weeks (months even, egad!), which explains why it often tastes like cigarette butts and burnt popcorn. So we created a way to buy fresh-roasted coffee directly from the roaster. When you buy coffee on eKoffee.com, your order is automatically forwarded to the roaster who will ship your order to your door within 24-48 hours after roasting. No pre-made coffee. No sitting on shelves or getting stale. Just maximum freshness.
Only the Best Roasters
There are 3000+ roasters in the U.S. Some are good, some are bad, few are great. We only partner with roasters who can meet our rigorous standards for quality, taste, and consistency. We mean it. We taste-test every coffee we sell, personally. If it sucks, we don’t sell it. Our roasters are masters of the craft. That’s why only 9 have made the cut…so far.
