Are you looking for great Christmas gift ideas for your pets?! Our 2 black labs are our babies and love receiving new toys and treats for Christmas, but I am always at a loss on what to get them. We aim to feed them the best treats out there as well as the best food so I am looking for healthier alternatives than what is sold on store shelves. Mack is a rescue and has a sensitive stomach– we learned the hard way– and is picky on what he will eat. Keira …. well she eats just about anything but since Mack has such a sensitivity we feed her what Mack eats.
The Honest Kitchen is participating in our Holiday Gift Guide this year and I couldn’t be more excited to share their wonderful company and products with you. Our dogs are our babies and we aim to keep them happy and healthy! The Honest Kitchen is a company of pet lovers with a commitment to quality & making the tastiest product out there. Our ingredients are gently dehydrated and FDA approved 100% human grade. We never use fillers, by-products, preservatives or any other nasty additives. It’s just whole foods with a dash of love. The Honest Kitchen’s goal is to “ensure your dog and cat is getting the absolute best pet food possible. This happens through the quality of ingredients we use, our careful process of dehydration and our commitment to product quality. Additionally, we’re committed to making our community and planet a better place. All this wrapped up in every Honest Kitchen box!” They’re also the ONLY pet food manufacturer with FDA approval to use the term human grade on our packaging and their human grade dog and cat foods are made from pure, clean, ingredients that are sourced responsibly, directly from human food suppliers. I LOVE that The Honest Kitchen uses the same celery that you might find in a soup or stuffing mix, and the same cranberries you’d eat yourself, in trail mix. Plus, their pet foods are actually made in a facility, and on the very same equipment, that produces human food products like breakfast cereals and bakery goods.
Keira and Mack were excited to review the Winter Warmers Broths from The Honest Kitchen! “This holiday season indulge your four legged family member with warm, wintertime beverage treat! Perfect for chilly days, post-hike hydration, after playing in the snow, or any winter morning (or evening). Helps your pup or kitty feel warm, loved, hydrated and happy in the tummy! Our Winter Warmers Broths are made from a mix of human grade, dehydrated ingredients and designed to be blended with hot water before serving. Winter Warmers are sold as a gourmet gift set and include three different broths: Chicken Consommé, Beef & Bone Broth & Turkey Stock. They make great gifts and stocking stuffers for cats and dogs!”
The Winter Warmers come in a set of Three – Chicken Consommé, Beef & Bone & Turkey Stock and contain NO corn, wheat, soy or GMO ingredients– awesome!
As you can see above, Keira and Mack LOVED the broths…. when they were done with one they wanted the others. When I opened them I noticed that they smelled good– not like typical dog treats or food that makes me nauseous! I learned that the workers at The Honest Kitchen actually taste the items they make as they’re made from human grade and dehydrated ingredients… pretty neat!
Mack LOVED the Beef and Bone broth and Keira loved the Turkey Stock. These were super easy to mix and the dogs waited patiently (or not so much) while I mixed them up. Mack was a little hesitant at first but knew that if he didn’t hurry, Keira would finish it for him. We have a lot of friends with dogs, so I think this will be a great gift for them– something delicious that they’ll love and healthy for them to eat.

I don't usually get my dogs gifts because we have so many pets but this seems like a nice way to spoil them and treat them to something extra special.
