How to Plan an Outdoor Adventure with Your Toddler + Mother’s Day Giveaway!!!

Thank You For Sharing!!

One of the best things you can do as a Mom is let your toddler explore and go on adventures. Not only would an outdoor adventure be exciting for them, but it stimulates their creativity, curiosity, and helps toddlers to learn from their surroundings.

If you want to plan a grand outdoor adventure with your toddler, here’s how to do it!

#1 Pick a Place to Go

First and foremost, you need to know where you are going to go on your adventure. Will you go to a park? What about a state park with trails? Should you just walk around the neighborhood. Knowing where you will go will help make this adventure so much more fun.

#2 Make it a Scavenger Hunt

Adventures are a lot more fun when there is a purpose for the adventure such as finding secret treasure, locating a certain person, or figuring out a mystery. Set your scavenger hunt adventure up by printing out pictures of things your toddler has to find along their outdoor adventure. Maybe at the end they get to find a basket full of yummy treats.

#3 Hype Your Kid Up

Get your kid excited about the adventure. Explain to them where you are going, what you will be looking for, and how much fun it is going to be. Sing songs about exploring, look at pictures on the internet, and get them excited about this fabulous adventure.

#4 Get People Involved

Another thing you can do is get other people involved such as the neighbor, the bank teller, or even grandma and grandpa. As long as it is an adventure, you can meet lots of fun people along the way. Let people talk to your kids about what they do at their job, how they help the community, and why their business is important.

#5 Pack Lots of Snacks

Don’t forget the snacks and drinks. Since adventures can take a long time to get done with, toddlers may not have the stamina to make it through the whole adventure without a little something to snack on along the way. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cheese sticks, carrots, and apples all make great adventure snacks.
