Did you go to the theaters and see Jesus Revolution? My husband did with some of our church friends while I went to a women’s conference. When I was given the opportunity to screen this before release, I was so excited.

Jesus Revolution Synopsis

In the 1970s, young Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) is searching for all the right things in all the wrong places: until he meets Lonnie Frisbee (Jonathan Roumie), a charismatic hippie-street-preacher. Together with Pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer), they open the doors of Smith’s languishing church to an unex-pected revival of radical and newfound love, leading to what TIME Magazine dubbed a JESUS REVOLUTION.

My Thoughts

Wow, what a film! I didn’t know what to expect as I hadn’t heard too much about the synopsis outside of “this is a good movie!” I love movies that are based on true stories and this one did not disappoint. I don’t want to give away the goodness, but I just have to say that the characters re-enacting this amazing true story were phenomenal. This is a family friendly movie but I would recommend it for teenagers and up. While the story is true, it has some things that your younger kiddos may not have been exposed to. You have to see this movie!!
