Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is back with a NEW season, are you ready? If you missed Season 1, you’ll need to hurry up and watch it because Season 2 is here!!
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Season 2 Details
From DreamWorks Animation, Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous returns for a second season 1/22/21.
Now stranded on an abandoned Isla Nublar, the campers struggle to survive among the wreckage of Jurassic World.
As the T.Rex takes over Main Street, forcing the kids deeper into the jungle, the discovery that they may not be alone not only threatens their rescue but may uncover something more sinister.
Inspired by the Jurassic World franchise, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous follows six teenagers chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Camp Cretaceous, a new adventure camp on the opposite side of Isla Nublar, must work together to survive when dinosaurs wreak havoc across the island.
Interview with Scott Kreamer, Executive Producer
I was invited to chat with Scott Kremer about his role as the Executive Producer and screen some of Season 2. While he wasn’t able to give away any spoilers (you’ll be glad), I was able to ask him some questions about Season 2.
Do you have a favorite episode so far?
Scott – “I do have a favorite in Season 2, but I don’t want to spoil it. From Season 1, I have like 6,7,8 episodes that are favorites of mine. They all resonate with me in different ways, so it’s hard to pick a favorite.”
Do you have a favorite camper in the show?
Scott – “This is another hard one to answer. I love so many things about each one of them so I just can’t pick. I guess I identify more with Darius than I thought I would. I also didn’t expect to love Brooklyn as much as I do. I don’t have a favorite, so theres a lot to love about each one of them!”
If you were to tell the parents and the kids anything about season 2?
Scott – “I would say that we’re going to see our kids not only figure out how to survive on this island but also figure out how to get reduced. There’s more dinosaurs, there is more action than they saw before. We’re trying to build on the foundation of Season 1.”
Will we see more Easter Eggs from Jurassic World?
Scott – “Yes, absolutely! We want to do enough to tie us into the Jurassic movies without feeling like we are forcing it or putting too much in there.”
In the wake of the current COVID situation? How was filming Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous?
Scott – “The biggest challenge was work from home. The animators, effects people need those big computers at the studio that they don’t have at home. Everything kept moving but it just took longer. Instead of going down to someones office, you had to wait. It took us a couple weeks to get our sea legs but our team has been amazing in adapting. We’ve done a lot on Zoom, with a surprise baby shower and team building events. It’s like the show, ‘we’re stronger when we stick together.”
