Thanks to Drive Shop and Kia Motors, I was provided a 2016 Kia Optima SXL model to test drive and review for a week. Opinions expressed are that of my own and to the best of my knowledge all vehicle information is correct.
Last week I had the opportunity to test drive the 2016 Kia Optima SXL and we absolutely loved it. We are the proud owners of a Honda Pilot but a few cars ago I owned a Kia Sportage and we did love that one too. The Kia car brand has come a long way and it is truly a dependable brand with their generous warranty, features and varieties of cars. The Kia Optima SXL was no exception. This car arrived in a BEAUTIFUL blue color, leather seats, panoramic sunroof and more.
I enjoyed driving it around town with the Sport mode on while I whipped around to get to work on time. There is also an Eco mode to help save on gas mileage! One amazing feature of this car is that if you leave it in ‘normal’ mode, it actually learns your driving style and changes the car to fit that. How cool!
We loved that it was spacious enough for myself and Liam to ride in but also spacious enough for a car seat and 4 other passengers. The leather seats are heated and cooling – with the crazy weather in Maryland this past week, I was able to use both settings as well as the heated steering wheel.
We finally had a day of sun here in Maryland so I opened the panoramic sunroof on this car and Liam and I enjoyed our breezy drive home from work/daycare. This car has a lot of presets like the seat position which you can choose a setting for 2 drivers, dual climate control, navigation and more. This car has all of the bells and whistles while being sporty and professional.
The Kia Optima SXL is a fantastic car that is great on gas mileage, spacious and fun to drive. We truly enjoyed driving it around our local area. Next time you think about getting a new car, remember the 2016 Kia Optima SXL, you won’t regret it.

Wow- it doesn't look like what I'd expect from a Kia- so much more sporty! Love it!

My husband is crazy about a sunroof. He had one on his first car, and it's always been his favorite feature. I need to show his this. He's going to need a new car sooner than I am.
