What are your plans this Memorial Day? Some of you may be traveling, others may be having cookouts with friends and family and others may plan to relax. The meaning of Memorial Day is much more than all of the above or a long weekend off of work and school! Memorial Day is a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered.
I am excited to share that Kings Dominion is hosting a Memorial Day Salute where the park where will decked out with Stars and Stripes! Kings Dominion is celebrating Memorial Day all weekend long with extended fireworks shows, live entertainment, special offers and more. Plus – all active and retired military personnel get FREE admission to the park! Some of the special offers this Memorial Day:
Kings Dominion will start each day with a live performance of the National Anthem by TRADOC Army Band or 380th Army Band. You can catch them both performing on International Street, as well as a fife and drum performance on Memorial Day. How cool will that be? I love listening to the military bands play.
The park will be decked out in stars and stripes. If you’re lucky, you may even run into Uncle Sam himself!
It wouldn’t be a Memorial Day celebration without fireworks. This year Kings Dominion has expanded their display, with even more fireworks than in previous years.
The Memorial Weekend Salute: Honoring Our Heroes will be May 28-30th.
