I was given the opportunity to try out a variety of items from LEVEL Life foods and I am excited to share my experience and some facts about the products. I am a snack lover, that’s for sure– and I always opt for the quick to grab, yet most unhealthy snack bars including candy. As a new Mom, a blogger and someone who works full time outside of the home, I am in the need of quick, easy to grab snacks. Also, I find times where I forget to eat or get too busy where I can’t eat (no excuse right?) so I need to have something handy.
LEVEL Life offers a range of products and a simple step-by-step lifestyle program for people who refuse to let diabetes get in their way! I am not personally diabetic but I have family members that are. I have seen the struggle for myself and know that having healthy snacks on hand is important to diabetics. I gave most of these foods to my Dad, and I knew that he would be excited about them– he will try anything but knowing that they’re made for diabetics, he will surely be happy.
We were sent a variety of products from LEVEL Life to try including LEVEL Life Bars, Glucose gels and Protein Shakes. I was excited to see some popular and delicious sounding flavors like chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. My husband and I kept some of the strawberry and vanilla and passed along the chocolate to my Dad.
The LEVEL Life Glucose Gels are great for on the go blood sugar support. They are fast acting and better tasting than some of the other glucose products out there. The 15-gram glucose gels are great for raising blood sugar fast when you’re low and are easy to carry and open. While these are great for lows, there are times when you may want just wanting a snack throughout the day. The founder of LEVEL foods, Ethan, stated that he found himself wanting snacks to help him maintain throughout the day and he couldn’t find any options that had the right balance of sugar, carbs, protein and fiber to keep his blood sugar stable and fight off hunger. My Dad said that these were delicious and that they truly were easy to access when he needed something healthy and something to help if his blood sugar got too low.
The LEVEL Life bars and shakes are high in protein and low in carbs and sugar to fight hunger and support healthy blood sugar as well as being low glycemic and gluten free! We loved the shakes and so did my Dad. I loved the vanilla shakes, Garrett loved the strawberry and my Dad loved the chocolate of course! My favorite bars were the caramel chocolately peanut– yum!
Overall, these products are great additions to the shopping list for those who live with diabetes. I know that I will be grabbing some more of these items for my Dad.
