Fostering a child’s imagination is something every parent aims to do. As a first time Mom I know that I enjoy watching Liam grow and develop into the little boy he is going to be. In fact, I cannot believe that in 2 months he will be a year old already- they say that time flies but I don’t think you truly understand until you’re experiencing it! I am also the aunt to 6 wonderful nieces and nephews that range from age 3 to 13. It is a joy to see each of them grow into the little boys and girls that they are going to be. I enjoy helping them with crafts and playing with their toys (although some of them I don’t even understand). I also love to listen to their stories- they sure can tell some fun ones ;).

I was given the opportunity to share some of their toys with my son and my nieces and nephews. The Manhattan Toy Company sent me some of their toys from the Travel + Comfort Collection and I knew that they would be a hit with my family.

My nieces and nephews sure do love their tablets! My Mom is babysitting them while they’re out of school for the summer so on hot days they’re enjoying the AC and playing games/watching videos on their tablets. I knew right away that they would want to use this tablet wedge. I love that this wedge has a nice zipper compartment to store the tablet and accessories- it makes it easier for them to transport the tablet and all accessories back and forth to Mom’s. I asked my nephew what he thought about it and he said, “This thing is awesome….. it makes it better for me to lay back and relax but still play on my tablet.” I think that it would be great for the car, too!

This adorable snuggle bear was perfect for my almost 4 year old nephew! I knew right away that it would be as tall as him- and it surely was. The snuggle bear is SO soft that I even wanted to snuggle it…. my nephew told me it wasn’t for adults, though! I love that it rolls up for easy carry and that it extends for them to snuggle. My nephew decided to carry it around everywhere he went and even lay on the couch and snuggle. I think this would be a great piece of home to take with your child somewhere- perfect comfort animal. My nephew told me that he liked the blue color and that it was soft.

The ages for this toy are 3+ up so I knew I would have a tough time finding one child to play with this. My nieces are so super creative so I figured I’d like them to try it out. They’re 9 and 7 so I knew they would enjoy this. The back of the portable activity desk is padded so it makes it comfortable on their little laps to draw with. That way they don’t have to use the table all of the time or so that it can be used in the car! I also love that this has a convenient zipper pouch that can store their art supplies- that makes it easy for transport. I work about an hour from home so Liam is in the car for about 30-40 minutes to get to my Mom’s for the day and then 30-40 minutes to get home for the day. That means that he is in the car a lot and besides the Mickey Mouse CD that he loves to listen to, he usually wants to play with toys. I try to keep a few of his favorite toys in the car so that he doesn’t get upset. At 9 months old, sometimes he sleeps in the car and other times he wants to be entertained. This adorable Activity Spiral is the perfect length for him to play with in his car seat. Along with the spiral design comes toys that he can grasp onto and enjoy the textures. When I gave it to him for the first time, he took it and smiled- I think he likes it and I think we’ll leave it in the car for those long days.
