Thanks to Drive Shop and Mazda Motor of America, Inc., I was provided a 2016 Mazda6 i Grand Touring model to test drive and review for a week. Opinions expressed are that of my own and to the best of my knowledge all vehicle information is correct.

For the past week, I’ve had the opportunity to drive around in this sporty and sleek 2016 Mazda6 i Grand Touring. This car was so fun and a week was definitely too short to drive it around. We had a blast and I am super excited to share about how this car fit right into our family this week.

This beauty was mine for a week and I loved driving it around. I love the sparkles in the white paint and the smooth ride it offers all while being comfortable yet sporty. This fully loaded Mazda6 came complete with heated seats, dual climate control, sunroof, 19- inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, rain-sensing windshield wipers and so much more!

We immediately installed Liam’s car seat in the back seat which was a breeze as there is a lot of space available in that back seat for car seats and someone to sit. I drove it to work, we took it to DC for Liam’s doctor’s appointment and we drove it to church. This car quickly became our go-to vehicle this week when we were going somewhere. The navigation system was fantastic in getting us from home to DC the quickest and safest way possible. I loved that the dual climate control helped keep both Garrett and I comfortable.

The first few days of driving the vehicle, we had hot summer-like days here in Southern Maryland so I enjoyed the sunroof open and the warm sun. The last few days were rainy and cold so the heated seats, rain-sensing wipes and fog lights helped us to enjoy the weather.

All of the controls were at my finger tips on the steering wheel and the dash was easy to use and brightly illuminated. While driving around I loved using the backup camera to get in and out of not only my driveway but also the store parking spaces. This not only helped me back into spaces but it helped me to not have to bend around backwards to back out. I also loved that there is a blind spot sensor that lights up in my side mirrors alerting me that there is a car in my blind spot. If I do change lanes too close to someone, the car will beep at me to warn me in advance.

This car features a Bose sound system which is pretty sweet and automatic settings on the driver’s seat. The seat will automatically adjust to driver 1 and 2’s settings with a touch of a button! Also, this car has some features that you can turn on and off like the Hill Launch Assist, Traction Control System and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. These features are easily accessible on the driver’s side of the steering wheel and can be turned on and off with the touch of a button.

Check out that spoiler and back end of the car – sleek right?! I love that the car features a large trunk space and a 60/40 seat split in the back. This makes grocery shopping and taking Liam places easy and convenient. Although this is a sedan and we are used to a larger SUV, this car suited our needs and 2 car seats could easily fit in the back of this car plus a stroller and groceries in the trunk!

Liam even loved this car and had a blast when I was snapping some awesome pictures of it this morning! He was enjoying ‘driving’ it and as you can see above, he enjoyed riding. We loved having this car for a week to meet the needs of our family. It rode comfortably, got great gas mileage, had some awesome features and was sporty. It was spacious enough for our family of three and we could easily travel in this car.

The 2016 Mazda6 i Grand Touring comes with a 36,000 mile/3 year bumper-to-bumper warranty with a 60 month/ 60,000 mile powertrain warranty. 24 hour roadside assistance is available and has numerous safety features as mentioned above. This car is a great one if you’re looking for a 4 door sedan for your family.

I definitely look forward to driving another Mazda after driving this one!!
