I was given complimentary tickets for the Medieval Times- Maryland location. All opinions expressed below are my own.
My family and a few friends had the awesome opportunity to attend Medieval Times in Maryland a few nights ago. I had never been and most people in our party of 6 had never been. In fact, it had been awhile for those who had been before! It was a great experience and one that we will remember for a long time!
We took Liam along with our crew and he had a blast, although he wasn’t feeling the greatest. We checked in and received our VIP lanyards and then headed into the castle. We were greeted, given our crowns and then took a picture with the King and Princess! A friend of ours, Joe who went with us and myself are celebrating birthdays this month so we got stickers on our hats that say “I’m celebrating” so that was fun!
We walked around the castle, grabbed some drinks and then waited for our color to be called for seating. We were on the black and white team and got seated pretty quickly. We were at table 3 which was the front row – how cool! When we sat down we found our other VIP experience like the flag and charge towel for our team ready for us. Our place settings were awesome, check it out:
Our server, Sam, then came around and greeted us- he was so energetic, nice and ready to help us have an awesome experience. He shared that we were the black & white team and who our allies were and who our enemies were. He shared that our hands would be our only silverware for the evening and to let him know if we needed anything.
We were then ready for the show to begin. It was so much fun reading the napkin that they gave us which not only welcomed us to the show, but it told is what the bill of fare was for the evening. We also had a list of other Medieval Times locations readily available! I am so happy we have one in Maryland!
The show began with some strobe lights and fog filling the arena and a beautiful horse and some knights joining the arena.
It was then time for our first course in the bill of fare – warm bread and tomato bisque! Oh my were both of these items delicious!!
Sam came around the poured each of us some of the tomato bisque and it was steaming hot, but cooled down rather quickly. We were able to use the handle to drink our soup after dipping the delicious bread in it. Yum! The show then continued on and each of the knights were introduced. While they were introducing each knight, we cheered for the team that we were on! I definitely believe black and white was the best knight out there!!
The King and Princess played an important part in the show and they were up on a balcony participating, talking and having a fun time.
Before long Sam was coming around to pick up our dishes and get ready for the next bill of fare. He asked if we wanted to keep our bowls for the chicken bones and we all said sure. A lady from the bar came around and asked if we wanted anything special from there and was taking payment by cash or credit if so. Then, the show continued on and our next bill of fare came out, Roasted Chicken!
I have to pause right here and just tell you how delicious the food was at Medieval Times. I had never been before and assumed that the food would be mediocre since they were cooking such large amounts. Boy we were all wrong – it was absolutely delicious. The tomato bisque was the perfect temperature and spice, the garlic bread was soft, the chicken was juicy and seasoned well. All this included was amazing. We also finished off with an apple turnover which you’ll see later – delicious!
We finished the night off with the final battle including some jousting. There was a lot of cheering for our team, and although black and white didn’t win, we still were the best ;). While the final battle was going on, we were served a flaky apple turnover and refilled on any drinks that we needed refills on.
We had such a great time at Medieval Times- Maryland and will definitely go back again! Like I said above, the food was delicious, the show was fun and we had a truly fun time. We were all sharing how much fun we had on the way home!!
