7 Reasons You May be a Minimalist

7 Reasons You May be a Minimalist

#1. You don’t like clutter.

One reason you may be a minimalist is that you don’t like clutter. The thought or sight of clutter makes you go crazy! Clutter can be on the countertops or in the cupboards. Many minimalist go through their whole house to get rid of unnecessary items.

#2. You love experiences.

A lot of minimalists prefer experiences over “things” any day. You may be a minimalist if you choose going on a Hawaii vacation over a new fridge. You may love taking your kids out to eat rather than buying them an expensive toy. There is no right or wrong, it’s all about what you prefer!

#3. You prefer the minimum.

Another reason you may be a minimalist is if you prefer the minimum. You don’t need a houseful of stuff. The minimum makes you happy!

#4. You have control of your money.

When you’re a minimalist, you can live off very little. Having control of your money is easier because you don’t need or want a lot. You may be a minimalist if you’re frugal and don’t see the need in buying expensive items.

#5. Organizing is your thing.

You may be a minimalist if you enjoy organizing. The best part is that organizing doesn’t take long because you don’t own a lot of stuff. The clutter and nonsense is gone, so you can spend time organizing the things that matter.

#6. Space is everything.

When you’re a minimalist, you can have a large space or a small space, it’s whatever you prefer. However, you do seem to prefer SPACE. You don’t like clutter and you don’t need to overfill the space with unnecessary stuff. You truly appreciate space in life without the clutter and extras.

#7. Functionality is important.

You may be a minimalist because functionality is important to you. It’s great if something works in more than one way. Let’s say you have a bench for the kitchen table that also serves as storage. Functionality is super important to the minimalist.

Maybe you’ve always been a minimalist but weren’t sure. Now you know!

This is definitely me, but not my family!! Which can be very difficult lol!! Actually this week I've been in the process of decluttering "the spots" that have accumulated since end of pregnancy exhaustion.
