A few weeks ago, Liam and I went to see Minions: The Rise of Gru in theaters. This was only his 2nd time being to the movies and he absolutely LOVED the Minions movie! When we were given the opportunity to celebrate the release of this movie with a few activities and products mailed to us, I knew he’d be a happy boy.

The film is written and directed by Kyle Balda (Minions, Despicable Me 3, The Lorax), co-directed by Brad Ableson (“Minions Holiday Special”) and Jonathan del Val (the Secret Life of Pets 2), and co-written by Matthew Fogel (The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part) and Brian Lynch (Minions, The Secret Life of Pets), starring Steve Carell, Pierre Coffin, Taraji P. Henson, Lucy Lawless, Dolph Lundgren, Danny Trejo, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Julie Andrews, and Alan Arkin. The original score was created by Heitor Pereira.

Fun Activities to Celebrate the Movie Release

As mentioned above, my son was sent a fun box full of items that will help him and I celebrate the release of this movie. The items included were perfect for Back to School season complete with a folder, notebook, pencil case, pens and more. Check it out:

Liam immediately wanted to color in the activity book and went right to coloring the picture of Otto. The entire time he was asking to watch the Minions movie.

He loved all of the activities in this book and has watched the movie at least 3 times since receiving this package.

In fact, this comes at the perfect time because I was trying to help him decide on a birthday party theme for himself. He is going to be 8 soon and guess what he’s picked?! MINIONS, of course! We’ve already ordered the cookies for favors, invitations, shirt and more! We’re set to have a great Minions party!!

Liam has a pediatric feeding disorder so I wasn’t so sure he’d try the Candy Club banana treats but he did! I can’t say he loved them but he ate a few of them — which is a huge accomplishment.

Overall, Minions is like Liam’s favorite right now and I can’t say I blame him. Yes, he’s watched the movie a few times but so have I! It is action packed, fun and entertaining. Make sure you enter to win your copy.
