I was invited to screen and experience Moana at AMC Georgetown in exchange for compensation. All opinions are my own.

My family and I were invited to experience Dolby Cinemas at AMC for Disney’s Moana, which sailed into theaters on November 23! I was so excited to take my husband and my 2 nieces to the AMC Georgetown to see this movie which I had heard so many good things about!!

ABOUT MOANA

Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped – and no one knows why. From Walt Disney Animation Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated feature film about an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli‘i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder.

OUR EXPERIENCE

We arrived at the theater for a mid-morning showing and were immediately greeted by the fantastic staff.

We were directed to our theater and found our assigned seats! While waiting for the show to begin, we played around with the awesome recliners and then relaxed waiting for the movie to start!!

While the movie previews were going, our seats started to move with the action. Now, this wasn’t an all out rollercoaster ride, but it was nice to have a little action experience while watching the movie. As Moana continued, it really gave us the opportunity to feel like we were in the movie — neat!! We experienced all of this will reclining in the comfortable recliners!!

The seats were spacious and perfect for seeing the movie. I was able to relax and experience Moana while not worrying about a thing….. 😉

Moana is a fantastic movie with amazing graphics and animation. The story line is wonderful and engaging throughout the whole film. This is a family friendly movie which has a catchy and amazing soundtrack! We left the theater talking about how exciting the movie was and how catchy the songs were. We talked on the way home about our favorite parts of the movie and our favorite character. We all found it hard to pick just one of the above! Moana is such a great movie that I cannot wait to purchase the soundtrack and see this movie again!! 

Seeing Moana was even more fantastic at the AMC Georgetown with the Dolby Cinema feature. The graphics are clearer, the sound is exact, the seats are comfortable, and the service was great. Overall, I highly recommend taking your family to see this movie and any others you may be interested in seeing when they’re available in this bonus format. You will see a spectacular imaging and vibrant colors. Hear sound that moves all around you. And feel true comfort in recliners that pulsate with the action.

Before Moana, you’ll be able to see the NEW Short from Disney called Inner Workings. This was a fun clip that was engaging and action packed.
