I learned that: Bright colors have not been proven to attract adult mosquitoes, but strong smells like perfumes, scented soaps, and lotions do. Standing water sources and hot exhaled gases also attract mosquitoes.

I learned that "Newly hatched larvae are small and can be difficult to see as they grow, so disturb the surface of standing water and watch for moving specks" and "strong smells like perfumes, scented soaps, and lotions attract adult mosquitoes. "
