Are you planning to have a get together for Independence Day? Are your kids having a party at school or daycare? If so, you’re going to want to check out these easy and delicious Patriotic Popcorn Balls that are a great combination of salty and sweet and are perfectly colored to celebrate red, white and blue!
Patriotic Popcorn Balls
Ingredients:
2 bags of popcorn
½ cup butter
4 cups mini marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla
Red, white and blue sprinkles
Red, white and blue M&M’s
Instructions:
Pop your popcorn according to package directions. Empty bags into a (really!) large bowl, making sure to pick out any kernels that did not pop.
In a large saucepan, melt ½ cup of butter. Add 1 tsp vanilla and mix.
Add the marshmallows, stirring until smooth and completely melted.
Pour the heated mixture over the popcorn.
Coat with sprinkles, and pour in M&M’s. Use a spoon to mix and evenly coat the popcorn.
Slightly dampen your hands with water to keep the popcorn from sticking to you and form the mixture into a ball shape.
Form the mixture into a ball shape and allow to ‘set’ on wax paper to cool.
These popcorn balls are so simple and so colorful for the Independence Day Holiday! You’ll see that they’re easy to make and fun for the kids to enjoy. They’re sweet but not overly sweet and make a great treat and dessert.
Here are some fun Patriotic Cake Mix Sandwich Cookies too!! You’ll want to make both of these simple desserts for Independence Day!
