A few years ago we adopted our first dog, Keira. We were so excited to get her home and welcome her to our family – she was a super cute black lab mixed puppy that of course was full of energy. Although I had grown up with dogs, I didn’t realize how much work and time went into properly potty training a puppy. Fast forward 3 years and we are still struggling with her making messes in our new home. We have since adopted another black lab mix, Mack. We got him around 1 year old so training Mack was much easier. We recently moved into a new (to us) home and the previous owners had dogs.
