My family and I had the opportunity to see the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus XTreme about a week ago at The Verizon Center and what a show it was. This was our first time taking Liam to the circus and we hoped he would enjoy the music and fun. We had also never attended a Circus XTreme and it had been many years since we had seen the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus. In fact, we took 2 friends with us that had NEVER experienced a circus so they were super excited.
The Verizon Center is a great location for the circus and we had a blast. I think that every seat there had a great view of the stage where the acts took place. Plus, they had things going on in different locations around the arena floor. There was fun music and routines that we really enjoyed. It is always so hard to pick a favorite but I think I have to say that the elephants were my favorite.
We also got to see some fun acrobats on the tightrope and that kept us on the edges of our seats. They did such fun tricks that were pretty awesome!
There were also other animals like camels and tigers in the show and also some adorable puppies and horses. The show was bursting with fun acts and animals. We loved the involvement of the clowns as well – it was so funny!

Circus XTREME will come to life at two arenas in the Washington, D.C. area. The show will be at Verizon Center from March 31-April 3, and the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Va., from April 6-17. Circus XTREME will also perform at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Md., from March 16-27.
The ultimate family entertainment experience features high-wire wizards, spectacular strongmen, BMX trick riders, trampoline daredevils, inconceivable contortionists, a high-flying human cannonball, a bungee aerial skydiving display and an international assembly of more than 100 world-renowned artists.
The party starts an hour before the show with the All Access Pre-show, which is free with your ticket purchase. You and your family can meet performers and get up close to the menagerie of animals. Center for Elephant Conservation will allow the company to focus on its Asian elephant conservation program and the pediatric cancer research partnership with Dr. Joshua Schiffman of Primary Children’s Hospital and The Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah.
