I received a free Shark Ion Robot in exchange for this post. However, all opinions are my own.
As a busy family, we are always on the go. We’ve never really been able to keep our house spotless no matter how hard we try. When we are home, we want to rest or have a family movie night or do something fun, not clean. We also have 2 black labs that shed like crazy and it is hard to keep up with all of their hair and we call them “tumbleweeds” all over the baseboards. We recently tried out the Shark Ion Robot vacuum and fell in love with the effectiveness of this little gadget.
Our Experience with the Shark ION Robot
This vacuum helps you keep ahead of everyday cleaning and works really well for the dog hair that is all over our house. We can set this to run when we are away, or set it for a repeating time each day. Right now I have it set to run at 11:30am everyday and it runs for about an hour or so and returns to the docking station. Their free app allows me to see if the vacuum is stuck somewhere or if it is running. It also allows me to tell the vacuum to ‘clean’ outside of my regular scheduled cleaning times.
We love how effective this vacuum is at picking up dirt and especially the dog hair. The brush roll on it works so well and its brushes for the edge cleaning are wonderful. It navigates my house well, too. We have some pretty large transition strips and sometimes it will get stuck but we just move it over that strip and hit clean and its on its merry way. This vacuum goes around our dining room chairs with ease too. Another awesome thing is that it goes under our couches because it has a low profile design so it can fit under them with no issue.
Our house has mostly hardwood on the first floor but we have a few area rugs and this vacuum transitions between them well. Upstairs we have carpet and hardwood and it has NO issue transitioning there either. While we mainly keep the vacuum downstairs, we do occasionally take it upstairs to clean. Another feature I like is the “spot” clean function which cleans a specific area in a circle. I hit that when I spill something or I see a big collection of dog hair. Otherwise, we let it just clean with the normal cycle.
We dump the container about every other day or so and clean the filter 1x a month, which is another fantastic feature. We love Shark products so we knew that adding this to our home would be a good decision. I usually go and clean each of our Shark products filters at the same time each month so that I don’t forget.
If you’re looking for a great item to help you keep your house clean, check out the Shark Ion Robot series. These vacuums are amazing and truly take the stress off of the constant need to vacuum in our house.

Awesome post indeed. I think this is a rebranded eco vac robot. Although, I prefer an iRobot Roomba. I guess Shark has to start somewhere. Btw finally you got me wanting to buy it now :D
