“Strange Magic,” a new animated film from Lucasfilm Ltd., is a madcap fairy tale musical inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” Popular songs from the past six decades help tell the tale of a colorful cast of goblins, elves, fairies and imps, and their hilarious misadventures sparked by the battle over a powerful potion. Lucasfilm Animation Singapore and Industrial Light & Magic bring to life the fanciful forest turned upside down with world-class animation and visual effects. Directed by Gary Rydstrom (“Toy Story Toons: Hawaiian Vacation,” “Lifted”) from a story by George Lucas, “Strange Magic” will be released by Touchstone Pictures on Jan. 23, 2015.
Notes:
- Lucasfilm Animation Singapore and Industrial Light & Magic created the CGI animation for 2011’s Academy Award®-winning film “Rango.”
- Well-known music producer Marius de Vries (“Moulin Rouge”) serves as both the musical director and composer.

I've heard so much good stuff about this movie. Lucas films are the best and I'm sure my kids will beg to see it. With all of the rain we've been having lately, I'm happy for the new movie releases. It gives us something to do!

My kids and I can not wait for this movie to be released. It peaks the interest of my daughter with the fairies and my son with the magic, and me because I just love a Disney animated film!

I luv these kids animated movies. Even my 16 year old will want to go to a little kids movie. Plus I love that song. With little guy dancing and moving around it's so funny. Any kid young or old would enjoy Strange Magic!

We usually watch these type movies together as a family. I'm not sure my little one who is two will like it since he scares easily. He will probably like coloring on the printables thought.

This is my first time hearing about this movie. However, it sounds like it would be great for families to see.
