These Sweet Orange Honey Lemon Bars are super simple to make and will provide you with super moisturized skin. Dry skin can be daunting, and finding a lotion that provides effective moisture is tough as many of those in the store have products that dry your skin out more than it already is.

It is important to look for quality ingredients when finding a lotion that will be effective.

It is hard, however, to find these products in the store. Did you know how easy it is to make your own lotion bars?  They also make a GREAT gift for the gardener or person who has their hands in water all day.

These look great! I am wondering if I could make them, but leave out the honey? Do you think your recipe would work? Thanks

HI Olivia – I just discovered your recipe for your Orange Honey bars. I’ve been looking for different honey related beauty products for DIY projects for some extra honey we harvested last year. Wanted to thank you for sharing. What's the approximate size (by weight) for each of individual bars? My guess is between 8 to 9 ounces??

Hey Les! I am so glad you found this recipe!! :) I'd estimate that 5-8oz is a safe bet on the weight of each bar. :)

I just whipped up a batch for the first time and they aren't set yet but they smell amazing. I hope they work well for my hands.

I have been wanting to try and make lotion bars with raw honey. I am skeptical for one reason. Does adding the honey cause it to leave a sticky residue? Thank you.

Do these need to be refrigerated at all?

Nope, not after they’re hardened.
