My Thoughts about The Unbreakable Boy

Autism is near and dear to my heart, so when I was given the opportunity to share about this new film, I knew it was meant for me. This movie is based on true events and is absolutely the type of message we need to have shown all over. With personal experience with autism, I do still the stigma around autism in our world and it truly saddens me.

While there is more to this film than autism, it is certainly a theme that rings true throughout the film. There is minor language and some alcohol consumption but it is very minor in my opinion still allowing this film to be family friendly.

The film shows the challenges that come in families where special needs exist but it also shows the amazing moments despite it all. Living this experience on a daily occasion truly made me cry throughout the whole movie – both happy and also sad tears! The reality of this really hits home for me.

I highly recommend seeing this movie which shares a very important message with your family and friends. I know that you will be moved to laughter and tears just like me!
