I attended an all paid press trip to facilitate the review of Tomorrowland.   All opinions shared, and my excitement for #Tomorrowland is 100% my own.

Tomorrowland Poster

Woohoo, today is the day that we’ve been waiting for over the past few months– Tomorrowland is in theaters!!! One of the best things about this movie is that it is family friendlt with a rating of PG. Tomorrowland stars George Clooney, Tim McGraw, Britt Robertson and Hugh Laurie! Before I get into my movie review, I wanted to share the trailer for you one more time:

The trailer above is awesome- it really leaves you wondering more about the movie!! Well, finally the wait is over and you can go see this movie in theaters NOW!

When I was in LA 2 weeks ago for the Tomorrowland Event, we were given the opportunity to screen Tomorrowland at the TCL Chinese Main Theatre! Can I just start by saying that this theater is beautiful. I mean, really, check it out:

This is the outside of the theater, which was recently renovated, and includes awesome IMAX screens– which is the screen that we screened Tomorrowland on (more about that later). Another awesome thing about this theater is that the sidewalk leading up to and around the theater has footprints and handprints of movie stars including a date. Of course, I found George Clooney there:

When we entered the theater I was amazed at the architecture of the ceilings as well as the walls– absolutely beautiful. Then, I noticed how BIG the IMAX screen was, wow….. I mean no matter where you sat in the theater you would be able to see the movie just fine- how cool.  I grabbed my popcorn and soda and sat down, ready to enjoy the show. I was so excited to see this movie as I had watched and enjoyed the numerous trailers, featurettes as well as read the movie details and I was gearing up for the interviews we would conduct at a later date on our trip. I knew right away that George Clooney would be fantastic in the movie and I was excited to see how well the characters interacted and worked together.

I was happy to see that the movie got right into the storyline and started off with little Frank taking his JetPack to the Worlds Fair- Hugh Laurie and Raffey Cassidy made their appearance in this scene and they were awesome. I found Raffey’s sense of humor rather amusing and I LOVED her accent (it’s real!!). I found it also fun to watch Frank reminisce on whether the jetpack ‘worked’ or not- that was fun.

This was the scene of the 12 minute preview we saw at Disneyland- the Exclusive one that I posted about HERE. As the movie continues we are introduced to Britt Robertson and Tim McGraw and then shown when Britt gets the pin and what happens to her. It is SO fun to watch her expressions when she is in the jail and switching back and forth from Tomorrowland– haha!!

Casey 1

The movie continues into the journey into Tomorrowland for Britt and that’s when George Clooney comes in as Frank Walker. Throughout their entire time trying to find this place that Casey (Britt) was at, Raffey was hilarious — stay tuned for Raffey’s interview to be posted soon. When Casey (Britt) is left by Athena (Raffey) at Frank’s (George) house to get back to Tomorrowland- the place she visits when she touches the pin- it is hilarious.

The action continues through the movie when Frank and Casey make it to Tomorrowland! It is so neat to see how their relationship dynamic changes as the movie goes on. This movie sure keeps you on your toes, in a good way. I don’t want to give too much of the movie away but I do want you to know that I really enjoyed it and I know my husband would to. As a Mom, one of my overall favorite things is that the movie was clean and free of inappropriate language- meeting a PG rating and making it family friendly!! Those are huge pluses in my book– and I am sure yours too!

Hugh Laurie

My recommendation: Go see the movie this weekend! I do not think you’ll be disappointed. The movie is family friendly so if you’re looking for something to do as a family this weekend, this is it. Go make a fun day of it- download the FREE Family Activities HERE and check out the movie details below!
