As a busy Mom to a little one, I know how hard it is to find quality food products for them to snack on or have as a meal quickly. I also know how it is when you have a picky eater and try to then incorporate products that are rich in the nutrients they need for a healthy childhood. There are some foods that are in your local Walmart that are a great protein snack solution with high quality and require low effort for preparation.
We headed to our local Walmart to grab a few products to then create a delicious and kid-friendly meal! We purchased the Ball Park® Flame Grilled Patties and the Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips because we knew our entire family would love them. Then, to add in a starch to this recipe we made some delicious and easy kid-friendly macaroni and cheese that everyone enjoyed.
You can get a movie ticket to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows in theaters now when you buy any 2 participating Tyson®, Ball Park®, State Fair®, or Jimmy Dean® products at Walmart and snap a picture of your receipt. This movie is in theaters now!
I am so excited to head to the theaters to see that movie – we got a ticket because I purchased 2 participating products!! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is one of my all-time favorite movies so we are excited.
We found these items easily in our local Walmart store!
In addition to preparing the 2 items above, we made some kid friendly crock-pot Macaroni and Cheese. This certainly has been a hit every time I’ve made it with not only the kids but the adults too. It takes just a few hours and is delicious:
Ingredients:
- 16 oz. Elbow Noodles
- 1 can condensed cheddar soup
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- salt, pepper and paprika to taste
Directions:
- Cook the elbow macaroni noodles on the stove for 5 minutes. Drain and add to crock-pot.
- In a separate large bowl mix cheddar soup, evaporated milk, beaten eggs, milk and shredded cheese.
- Add this mixture to the noodles and stir well.
- Cover and cook on low for 1.5 hours.
- Stir and add salt, pepper and paprika to taste.
- Cook on low for another hour.
- Serve
A high protein snack for your family does not have to take all day, you can prepare the macaroni and cheese and then add in the other 2 items to make this quick with minimal effort. Tyson® and Ball Park® made our meals easy and delicious. Plus, don’t forget to get a ticket for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows for purchasing 2 participating products.
