Liam is 8 months old and that means that for the past few months the drool that he’s had due to teething has increased. We change bib after bib (usually because he rips them off) and outfit after outfit because I can’t stand him being soaked with drool. He doesn’t have any teeth yet, but they’re coming through the bottom of his mouth at any time– crazy! I would say, he is NOW in full blown teething…. I thought we got a break from the drool but it has returned and is so much more.
The UnderBib is a one of a kind, patent-pending and safety tested bib that attaches directly to a baby’s clothes via magnetic tabs and lies underneath to protect their skin from drool without covering their adorable outfits. UnderBib Apparel has a bib built discreetly into the clothing so the baby can drool directly on the outfit and still stay dry underneath without the need of traditional bibs which are often mismatched and get pulled on or pulled off entirely.
HOW IT WORKS
Insert Underbib into your baby’s clothing with the bib buttons facing you, matching up the necklines….
Open the magnetic clasp and fold the magnet (button side) over the neckline until it connects with the magnet inside the bib portion.
UnderBib Apparel comes with a bib, or waterproof shelf, built right into the clothing so there are no extra pieces to attach. It consists of 100% waterproof nylon in between the outer layer of clothing and a soft liner of 60% cotton/40% polyester interlock knit which rests against the skin. The nylon is attached at the neck and at the bottom of the liner and the liner is attached at the top and sides so it always lies flat. The nylon is not attached at the sides so the clothing maintains it’s stretch.
I was SO excited to check into this product and receive some to try out for Liam! UnderBib sent me a few different items to try out and I’m excited to share the details of each. UnderBib sent me one of their onesies with the built in underbib, a blanket and an underbib so that I can use on ANY of Liam’s outfits.
The first thing we tried out was the UnderBib as Liam already had on a onesie. He has a lot of cute clothes and I HATE to cover them up with a bib just for his drool so I couldn’t wait to try it out.
We put it on easily- a simple magnet on both sides held it in place. We went to church and then traveled an hour to my in-laws and the thing never moved or came off of his clothes – that in itself is awesome. Then, while his onesie got soaked with drool, the UnderBib prevented that from sitting on his chest – one of my pet peeves. This piece just gets washed with his clothes and then we either have it on or we take it with us 😉
Liam is wearing the UnderBib in the above picture- the only part of it you can see is the white magnets…. how cool! Notice he is in his bumbo and playing with measuring cups- not his toys that he has a ton of 😉
Next we tried out the onesie that has the UnderBib in it! The first thing I noticed was the quality of the material and then I loved how the UnderBib was built into the outfit. It is a cute blue striped long sleeved onesie that is perfect for our little guy! I am usually a cold blooded person (is that even really a thing?) so I try to keep Liam’s arms covered when it is chilly. Although it is warming up outside, my husband likes to keep the house cool…. so keeping long sleeves on Liam is ideal.
Long sleeve blue striped bodysuit with built in UnderBib. 100% cotton interlock onesie with three button snap closure and envelope neck. Built in UnderBib is 100% interlock cotton so it sits softly against the skin with a 100% waterproof nylon lining. Your baby can drool all over the front and keep his or her skin dry underneath.
Lastly but certainly no least, we tried out the fun blanket that UnderBib sent us.
little lew is excited to announce that we now have large baby blankets and small comfort blankets available this fall! They are made with 50% Cotton/50% Modal which makes for a super soft and extra water absorbent blanket for the drooler and non-drooler alike. The first collection is the Petite Oiseau collection which translated means “Little Bird”. This blanket is SO soft and is perfect for carrying with me in the diaper bag for easy access. The drool, oh the drool…… this blanket is awesome for that. Plus, Liam loves to play around with different textures and he loves this one.
Overall, we love the UnderBib products and I know that they’ll be on my list of useful baby shower gifts. The quality of the products is awesome and I find them easy to use too!
