This N That with Olivia was given 2 free Indoor Skydiving experiences in exchange for this post. Although this post is sponsored, all opinions are my own.
One of the things I’ve always wanted to do is to go skydiving. I’ve never found the best opportunity to do it, though. While Garrett and I were in Las Vegas, we decided to give it a whirl. We headed over to Convention Center drive experience skydiving indoors at Vegas Indoor Skydiving. We had a GREAT experience.
About Vegas Indoor Skydiving
Voted the “Most Unique Family Attraction” in Las Vegas! Experience the thrill of skydiving without an airplane! Vegas Indoor Skydiving is a vertical wind tunnel that simulates the freefall aspect of skydiving. Come fly with us! No age limit! No height requirements!
Our Experience
When we arrived at Vegas Indoor Skydiving, we were greeted by a team of flight instructors who checked us in. Then, we put our belongings in a locker (free) as they weren’t allowed upstairs or in the tunnel before heading upstairs to get ready for our flight. Before our flight, our flight instuctor, Ish, joined us in the education room. We were shown a short instructional video, signed our waivers and then suited up. Ish reminded us of the hand signals that we needed to use because it is so loud in the tunnel and then we headed in to fly.
The Flight
The first flight started out while laying face down on the netting above the fan while they turned the fan on and you started to float. The flight instructor then helped you get your form correct and helped you fly. This flight was about a minute and then he would help you land safely on the sidelines and await your next flight. The second and third flights were where we actually jumped into the wind stream and the flight instructor helped you enjoy the flight. If you were relaxed and comfortable, he would do some fun things like fly with you or let you do a few tricks.
When you were done with your flights, you simply exit the tunnel and headed out to get out of your flight suits. While you were in the tunnel, there were pictures being taken a videos, too, that you have the opportunity to purchase on your way out. This was certainly a GREAT experience and one I will always remember. The flight instructors were so nice and available to make sure you were comfortable and had fun. The entire tunnel experience was about 3-4 minutes of flying for each person. Each time you go back, though, the better you learn to fly in the tunnel and the more fun you’ll have!
