Walgreens has updated their store coupon policy with some new wording– these few changes do change the way that deals can be purchased at Walgreens for couponers.
You can view the new policy HERE, but I’ve highlighted the changes that affect us below:
Walgreens will not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons. – This says that Walgreens will no longer adjust coupons down for us.
When items are featured in a Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion, at least one product needs to be purchased. A maximum of one BOGO coupon is permitted per two qualifying items in a BOGO offer. – We are no longer able to use TWO coupons on a BOGO sale…..
I dont know about you, but I’ve always experienced issues using coupons at Walgreens. Before these changes, we were able to use 2 coupons on a BOGO sale, and we were able to have a coupon adjusted down to make the item FREE. However, those are the two things that I always had an issue with at Walgreens. I even spoke to the District Manager but that didn’t help these issues.
What are your thoughts on the changes? Do you coupon at Walgreens?
